Around the Block!

In this series I will showcase neighborhoods within North Scottsdale and North Phoenix. Every subdivision has its own unique character, profile, features and qualities. I will also interview residents in the area and highlight some homes in the neighborhood that are on the market.

La Paz ...peace in Scottsdale

Nestled in the center of the desirable 85254 zip code between 56th and 64th Streets and North of Thunderbird to Acoma Drive, La Paz subdivision lives up to its name, Peace in Spanish. The homes were built in the 1980’s and 90’s. Parents love Desert Springs Elementary School for its spirit, teacher dedication and parent Involvement. The spacious Crossed Arrows Park is right next door to the school and provides much shade from the many luscious trees and green grass. No need for an HOA here! Residents take pride in their yards and every street is beautifully maintained.

FUN FACT…One of the neighbors told us that in the 1990’s a small plane made an emergency landing on 64th St. They weren’t making a food run because the Fry’s and Safeway on 64th Street and Greenway had not yet been built. (no one was hurt)
